11 Beauty Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar

Are you looking for a multi-use product offering big results without breaking the bank? Look no further than apple cider vinegar for many common beauty concerns.

For the Face
Mindy, an Esthetician and owner of Inner Beauty SkinCare says apple cider vinegar makes for a great all-natural alternative to many common chemical-laden beauty products:
I personally am obsessed with ACV and use it as a toner because it is a natural brightener for the skin. I also have tons of clients on ACV and would much rather that route then OTC products that can interfere with the health of the skin.
It is antibacterial, so it’s exceptional to stop the itching, redness and a perfect spot treatment for pimples.
Holly Green owner of Norabloom.com also recommends apple cider vinegar to her clients,
I use apple cider vinegar personally and recommend to my clients on a regular basis. The properties are magical! ACV can be added to organic orange juice or lemon juice 2:1 ratio for fading sun spots and discoloration from healed pimples. For active blemishes, I recommend spot treating with straight ACV. Did you know ACV is even helpful treating warts? I also recommend my clients to purchase raw, organic ACV. Less chemicals the better!
ACV Mask
CanDace Johnson recommends combining equal parts ACV and French clay for a great facial mask. Leave on 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Pearl from Glamologie also recommends ACV in masks:
I have in the past though used it instead of water to mix up a powder mask. This works well since it’s anti-inflammatory and has many vitamins and enzymes. This is something I definitely recommend!
ACV Toner
Combine 1 part apple cider vinegar with 2 parts water for a natural toner.
For the Body
Apple cider vinegar can be used on skin all over the body. I’m sure many of us remember our moms soaking us in a cool tub with apple cider vinegar after too much time in the sun. If you don’t have time for a soak, use a mixture of 8:1 water-ACV and wipe gently across the skin for some relief.
If you have an itchy bug bite, soak a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar and apply for a little itch relief.
ACV also makes for a great foot deodorant. Give your tootsies a little soak once per week. You can also spray your gym shoes with a diluted mixture as needed.
For the Scalp
Neicy McCoy, an Esthetician for BeautyBridge.com, says, “I have scalp psoriasis. I use ACV diluted in water with a spray bottle as a scalp treatment prior to shampooing. I just massage it into my scalp for a couple of minutes and then shampoo and condition like normal.”
Master Colorist Sandi Arensman has the following to say about using ACV on the hair, “Coming from a consumer stand point, apple cider vinegar can be used for clarifying the hair with foreign particles. It detangles the hair and adds luster shine. Apple cider kills bacteria on the scalp and lowers the pH level of the skin, lessening itching. To use successfully, mix with equal parts (for example 1/4 cup distilled water for every 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar) Rinse out well with cold water. I recommend that you do not treat anymore than once a week.”
Internally
Rhonda Ridley of FearlesslyNatural.com lets her apple cider vinegar work from the inside out, “I drink it in the morning and at night (before bed) – my skin is so much clearer, it flushes out impurities and detoxes, it burns belly fat, reduces forms of upset stomach.”
Most experts do not recommend drinking ACV alone. Combine 2 tablespoons with about 1.5 cups of water or juice. And don’t forget vinegar is a common ingredient in most salad dressings.
We mentioned earlier that apple cider vinegar makes for a great natural deodorant. It can also help tame stinky breath. And whiten teeth. Mix ½ tablespoon ACV with 1 T baking soda for an all-natural toothpaste.

It contains “the mother” which is an enzyme-packed protein. It’s also organic and raw.
With so many beauty uses and such a small investment, why not incorporate apple cider vinegar into your daily beauty routine?
