How to Use Purification Oil (& A Great DIY Air Freshener)
Purification is an essential oil that I use every day. I love the smell. This is a unique blend of Citronella, Lemongrass, Lavandin, Rosemary, Melaleuca, and Myrtle essential oils. It’s a heavenly odor eliminator, and may also keep a few bugs away without those harsh chemicals or stifling smells.
How to Use Purification Oil
Diffuse it to freshen the air in house in an instant. High quality essential oils can actually help eliminate odors instead of just covering them up.
Apply a few drops to a homemade dryer ball to freshen your laundry and make your clothes smell great.
Mix 10 drops with 8 ounces of water for a nice Stinky Dog Spray.
Apply topically to insect bites and scrapes.
Put a couple drops on a cotton ball and place in your smelly shoes overnight.
Homemade Air Freshener
- 2 cups distilled water
- 8 – 10 drops of Purification essential oil
- 1/4 tsp epsom salts
Add the Purification oil to the epsom salts and mix well. (This will help keep your oils from floating to the top.) Add the salt mixture to the water in a spray bottle. Shake well.
Spray into the air as needed, shaking before each use. I also like this one as a fabric and linen spray.
I have also seen girls use vodka in place of the water and epsom salts. The great thing about DIY recipes is that you can experiment to find one that works best for you.
