Tilth Beauty Berry Extract Toner Review

Tilth Beauty’s product line is small and specialized. Their products are manufactured with anti-aging in mind. Despite many similar lines their products are cruelty-free, green, vegan, paraben-free, sustainable and made in the U.S.A. Always good things in my book. When the company contacted me for a review, I was happy to accept.
I tried the Berry Extract Toner which retails for $32 (4 oz). Its ingredients include anti-oxidants and Vitamins C and E. The toner is supposed to firm skin, neutralize free radicals and provide a healthy glow. Confession: I haven’t been a regular user of toner since high school, so I was excited to give this one a try. In those days toner was more along the lines of alcohol than a moisturizer, but how things have changed.
Do I Need a Toner?
The answers to this question are all over the place from “absolutely not” to “you can’t live without it.” A few great dermalogist interviews here and here state that though a toner may not be necessary the right one can definitely benefit your skin.
Berry Extract Toner Review
I applied the toner every morning after cleansing. I used a cotton ball though the bottle says you can also apply with a spritzer. That is definitely something I need to try!
The toners I have used in the past have always been over-drying. Your skin doesn’t necessarily feel “toned” after use. It feels tight. I didn’t have that problem with this toner. In fact, I used it alone without my daily moisturizer to get the full effect. No dryness or tightness.
Though the online description doesn’t say anything about preventing breakouts, the bottle did. I’m happy to report no acne incidents while using this product so far.
I was very happy and impressed with this toner. It was far different than those I have used in the past and it is definitely one I would consider using long-term. I would also consider trying other Tilth Beauty products. The Rose Cleansing Gel and Poppy Seed Exfoliator sound amazing!
