TheTestTube by NewBeauty Sample Program

NewBeauty is the first women’s magazine with central topics that include plastic surgery, cosmetic dentistry and dermatology. In addition to their quarterly publication, the company also offers a beauty discovery program called TestTube.

As you may expect from the magazine description, this beauty box subscription offers high-end, luxury brands in deluxe and full size samples. In addition to the samples, you can also expect the latest edition of NewBeauty magazine to be included with your order.

TestTube is a seasonal program as opposed to monthly. Every three months TestTubes are shipped to subscribers. The price for this program is $29.95 per quarter plus shipping.

NewBeauty TestTube Reviews

This one has been around for several years and has many long-time, faithful subscribers. The tubes do seem to have a heavy focus on skin care, body care and hair care. That is something to keep in mind if you are looking for a more cosmetic-based subscription. While cosmetics are often included, you are also going to see a lot of anti-aging serums, cleansers, etc.

You are only receiving one box every three months, so that averages out to around $13 per month (no free shipping with this one, it is $8.95 per quarter). NewBeauty claims their seasonal tubes include $250 in product. Brands in the Fall 2012 TestTube included IT Cosmetics, Moroccanoil, dr. brandt, Kneipp, philosophy and more. These are higher-end, highly sought after and trusted brands.

Overall, the consumer reviews are really good. As I said before, there are a lot of subscribers that have been receiving TestTubes for years – literally.

Things to Note

You may have seen NewBeauty TestTube available on QVC. Though I have not ordered from both avenues, it appears as though these include different products. The QVC variety apparently includes QVC brands. As a comparison, the Winter 2013 official NewBeauty TestTube included Vichy LiftActiv Serum, Stila Face the Day Moisturizing Gel Cream, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush and a few other samples. The current offering on QVC includes WEN Cleaning Conditioner, bareMinerals Lip Gloss, philosophy moisturizer, etc. I also see several complaints on the QVC product page that relate to repeated items over the course of several shipments. I don’t see that with the NewBeauty subscribers. Which option you choose is up to you. Just keep in mind that these are two different options that will likely include different samples.
