September Birchbox Man Review

My husband’s Birchbox Man arrived this weekend. At first I thought this was going to be a “bust box.” But, I was wrong.

This month’s theme was “Hit the Books.” The products selected were to bring us back to cooler temperatures, back to work and back to school. The gents had the option to select a sample this month. As all of the options were items my husband has received in past boxes, we opted to be surprised. Inside my husband’s box we found:
Bonobos Castle Island Pocket Square ($42) – Birchbox Man tends to lean more towards preppy than sporty. I thought this item was going to receive a poor reaction from my husband, but he actually said he liked it and would wear it.
RIADA by Adair Tie Bar ($20) – Same goes for the tie bar. I thought it was a dud, but the husband was digging it. Just goes to show why we all love these subscription boxes. You get your hands on some cool stuff you wouldn’t otherwise purchase. Good thing too. The majority of this box’s value was in these two items.
BeeKind Body Lotion – We both really liked this body lotion. It’s a lemon verbena scent, which I absolutely love! And it’s all-natural. The design is very manly. No being embarrassed to pull this one out at work, the gym, etc.
Billy Jealousy White Knight Gentle Daily Facial Cleanser – This was one of the sample options, and one my husband received recently in another Birchbox. It’s cool though. We happily accept any face cleanser. We go through it quickly. And this is actually a great cleanser.
Costume National Homme – My husband will take a cologne sample any way he can get it. I really like this one. It’s citrusy and spicy.

The value of this box is nearing $80. Not too bad for a $20 investment. This one may not have been for everyone, but my husband was pleased.
