May 2015 Birchbox Review: Cupcakes & Cashmere
It took forever for my Birchbox to arrive this month. The post office needs to pick things up to accommodate those of us stalking subscription boxes. Now that it is here, let’s take a look inside.
For my sample selection this month I chose the Harvey Prince Sea Salt Hair Mist. I didn’t necessarily choose it because I love a good sea salt spray. I chose it for the fragrance. After being out in the summer heat all day, this will freshen up your locks so you can keep going.
I love Marcelle. Their Golden Glow BB Cream is one of my favorite subscription box finds ever. The Hydra-C 24H Energizing Hydrating Gel was a nice surprise. It’s lightweight, vitamin-packed and helps brighten the skin. It goes on refreshingly cool.
This box was full of great smells. I also found a Not a Perfume sample from Juliette Has A Gun. It’s made from a single note; Cetalox. I really like it.
I snuck a peek at my samples prior to receiving my box. I was really happy to be receiving the Stem Cellular CC Cream from Juice Beauty. They have great products. This CC cream moisturizes, primes, protects, conceals and offers sheer coverage. It’s also SPF 30. I just wish it was a bigger sample!
A (I believe) full-size Mally Evercolor Waterproof Automatic Eyeliner rounds out the box. This item is $18 on its own. The color is Black Cherry. I love a funky eyeliner.
The timing was perfect for arrival of my box after all. The June sample choice was just revealed this morning. Birchbox will be partnering up with The Tig.
