March Melissa Joulwan Quarterly Box Review: Paleo Subscription Box

I always look forward to Melissa Joulwan’s Quarterly Box. This is one of the few, maybe only, clean eating/paleo boxes that is focused more on real foods and cooking as opposed to snacks. She always includes a lot of unique things new to us.
This quarter’s theme was Spice Up Your Life. The featured products were focused around spices and adding flavor to your favorite recipes.

Inside I found a set of four Himalaya Mountain Salt Shakers. These are cute. Included in the box was a recipe card with four seasoning recipes to create. Very cool. Not something I would have purchased for myself, but I’ll definitely put them to use now. I’ve never made my own seasonings.
Balti Seasoning from Spicely Organics was also included. This smells so good. This will be our first attempt at curry, but Melissa included a recipe for that as well.

Simple Squares Nutrition Bar in Chili Pep is interesting. It’s raw, paleo and only has five ingredients.
King Arthur Flour Black Cocoa is what had me most excited this month. This is a super powerful cocoa so you are supposed to substitute only a tablespoon or two of your regular cocoa when baking. It has awesome reviews on King Arthur. Melissa included recipes for chicken mole meatballs and cocoa BBQ potato chips. I’ll let you guess which we will make first.
I also see a lot of yummy-looking recipes over on the King Arthur site.
Also in the box was a $10 gift card (on $20+ purchase) to Spicely Organics.
The Melissa Joulwan Quarterly box runs $50 per quarter (plus $5 S&H). We have been really pleased with it so far and will continue our subscription for the time being. It has always been products new to us and we have enjoyed trying the new recipes and flavors. I wish we had more paleo boxes available.
