March Julep Review & Free Box Code
I have been waiting for months for the spring beauty boxes to roll out. I love the pastels and soft finishes. Julep didn’t disappoint with their March Maven selection, Pop!, my only issue was picking out which colors I wanted.
Mavens get to customize their boxes now. You can pick and choose which nail colors or beauty products you want to receive. Most often your choices include one beauty product and two colors or a three-color box. I went with all color this month though lipsticks and the new fluid eye glider were also available.
I also went with two add-ons bringing my box total up to four colors and one shamrock nail decal for St. Patty’s Day. The colors I picked:
- Ming – purple jelly
- Nedra – denim blue
- Ali – mint green soft focus finish
- Janet – pale pink soft focus finish
I was happy to see these were all O2 formula. I find those have far better coverage and faster drying time than the originals. I didn’t even use a base coast this time and I normally need one.
The purple jelly, Ming, was a lot more transparent than I anticipated. That’s two coats above on my thumb. I love it though. It has a great finish.
The green and pink were new the “Soft Focus Finish.” At first I thought maybe this was just another name for the former Satin Finish but these have much better coverage.
I have skipped quite a few boxes lately – another Maven perk – so I was happy to have some new polish to play with. And the Easter colors are perfect for the upcoming holiday!
