LOLI Box Review: DIY Beauty Subscription

I recently fell in love with essential oils and making my own scrubs, soaps and lotions. When I caught wind of a new subscription box launched called LOLI, I couldn’t wait for the first box to arrive. Unlike any box so far, this one sends you the ingredients and instructions to create your own DIY beauty recipes once per month.

LOLI stands for Living Organic Loving Ingredients. All of the featured items are chemical-free, non-GMO, wild harvested, sustainable, and the packaging is all plant-based.
One thing that caught my eye in the press releases was the quality of the packaging and products. As a somewhat educated oiler, I know that oils need to be kept in dark glass containers. These are. They are also ample in size. You can get several uses from each.

Inside of the first box I found:
Base Oil – This is a calendula infused Jojoba, avocado & olive oil blend. I don’t see that you can purchase this online, but I would really like to get some more. I’m always on the lookout for good base oils, and this is one. Mix in your favorite essential oil and apply to the skin.
Lavender Hydrosol – This is a lavender-infused mist. Mix it into the included mask, spray it on your pillows or hair. This is a great all-around product. It’s the one that most caught my eye when I first saw it.
Power Oil – I love trying new oils. This one is a blend of Palmarosa, Frankincense, Ho Wood and Carrot Seed. Frank is a power oil on its own. I’ve heard really good things about carrot seed oil for the skin. I’m so happy to have this one in my arsenal.
Powder Mask – The first box included a nice tub of powder mask. It’s clay-based with Multani Mitti, Rose Clay, Matcha Tea, Kale, Blueberry and Rose Petals. Mix in a little of your hydrosol and power oil. Apply for 10-15 minutes. Rinse. Follow with your base oil.
I love that they included a little carrying case and all of the utensils needed for your recipes – down to a mixing cup for the mask. And the instruction card was thorough and simple to understand.

I purchased a three-month subscription at $35 per month. I’m glad I did. This is such a high-quality, professional box. I can’t wait to experiment more with creating my own beauty remedies. And I do hope they make full-size versions of their featured products available in the near future.
