Living Proof Curl Line Review

You have likely heard about Living Proof as this is a hair care line co-owned by Jennifer Aniston. Their products are performance-based and scientifically-backed. They recently introduced a new line of products for curly-haired girls like myself and offered to send it over for my review.
There were five products included in my package. The four purple bottles are from the new curl line; curl conditioning wash, curl detangling rinse, curl-enhancing styling mousse and curl defining styling cream. The gray bottle is from the no frizz line; frizz leave-in conditioner.
I was really apprehensive about the curl conditioning wash. It’s a sulfate-free, lather-free formula and I’m usually not a fan. This one seemed different however. It was more conditioning so I was able to work it through a lot more than some products. I’ve been using it for several days now and no greasiness yet.
Now the detangling rinse is awesome. I loved this from the get-go. It looks like it should be the shampoo. It’s more translucent and has a jelly-like texture. It’s slicks right through your hair leaving no tangles whatsoever. And it smells amazing, kind of citrus-y.
I’m in the small group of curly-haired girls that actually has fine, thin hair as opposed to the usual thick, course variety. The first day I skipped the leave-in conditioner and went straight for the curl-enhancing styling mousse thinking I could do without a conditioner. It was a little more hold than I like and I did have some frizz. For more conditioning it is recommended you use it with the styling cream. If you like a tighter curl and firmer hold, you may be fine with this one.
The next day I used the shampoo, rinse, frizz leave-in conditioner and curl defining styling cream. Now this is what I’m talking about. Not too crunchy, not too soft, not too straight, not too curly. My curls were just right. And, again, this stuff smells really, really good. There are some curl products out there that leave you smelling like you just got a perm. Gross. None of that here.
The price for each item is around $25. I don’t think that’s bad. It’s about what I currently pay for my hair care items at the salon. And I’m definitely going back to Living Proof for more. They have this new Night Cap Overnight treatment that I have been hearing amazing things about. It’s supposed to leave you waking up looking like you got a fresh blowout. Now wouldn’t that be amazing?!
