July Stitch Fix Review
My first Stitch Fix arrived today! I have been on the calendar for what seems like forever. When I first signed up there wasn’t much of a wait so I rescheduled my date thinking I could get right back in when I was ready – not so much. But, it’s finally here and I’m now on the schedule for recurring shipments.
If you are new to this one, it’s a women’s clothing service. You fill out a lengthy profile and a personal stylist ships you approximately five hand-chosen fashion picks on your chosen schedule. There is a $20 styling fee that is applied towards your order, but you only pay for what you keep.
In my first Fix I found the following. I’ve also included photos with them on when needed.
Marlyn Schiff Jordy Interlocking Chain Necklace: $38
Cute necklace, but I never wear them. Sending back.
Kut From The Kloth Diana Skinny Jeans: $78
Stitch Fix sent me a 6, which I knew was going to be too big when I pulled these out. When I went to my profile I see I didn’t fill in my jeans size. So, not their fault! (And good guess.) I like these jeans and am needing new skinny jeans anyway. I think I’ll keep them knowing they will shrink up some in the dryer. And I can always have the waist brought in.
Under Skies Lindi Crochet Panel Textured Woven Blouse: $58
This is a super cute top. You can see in the top photo that the crochet panels run all the way down the sides. Stitch Fix was kind enough to include a black tank for wearing underneath. This is sadly not something I would wear. Sending back.
Market and Spruce Elissa French Terry Striped Moto Jacket: $74
This is also cute, and my husband loved it. If it was any other (dark) color, I’d keep it. Sending back.
41Hawthorn Filbert 3/4 Sleeve Popover Blouse: $58
I so wanted this blouse to work! Maybe it does. I don’t know yet. It’s a weird fabric and it fits a little looser than I would normally wear. I’m undecided on this one.
The merchandise total was $306 for these 5 items (I opted for the least expensive per-piece price that was available). If I buy all five, I get 25% off. After my $20 styling fee that would make my total $214.50. Not bad at all!
I’m going to love this service, but it is going to take a little trial and error. I’m hesitant to move into a smaller top size than what I normally wear, but these seem big. I’ll make a note for my stylist going forward. And I’ll definitely pick a pants size! What an oversight that was.
