July Birchbox: Women’s Health Edition
It seems like it has been taking boxes forever to arrive lately! I have been tracking this Birchbox for over a week now. Finally it arrived!
This was the collaboration with Women’s Health magazine. In addition to the usual samples, each subscriber also received a one-year subscription to Women’s Health (or a $9.99 refund if you so choose). I could care less about the magazine, but I was sure looking forward to this month’s products!
Birchbox is highly customized and there are so many box variations that go out. Here’s what I received:
Beauty Protector Protect & Treat Mask (2 sample tubs) – I’m usually not a big Beauty Protector fan – or hair mask fan, for that matter – but this stuff smells awesome! It almost smells like candy. It’s an argan oil treatment that you leave on hair for up to 20 minutes.
NAOBAY Body Radiance Lotion – This has been a popular brand among subscription boxes this past year. I don’t need any more body lotion however. This one will go in the donation box.
Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel – This is perhaps the item I am most excited about this month. This is a gentle peel that is supposed to control breakouts, diminish dark spots, even skin tone, brighten your complexion and smooth & resurface your skin texture. Oh how I hope it works! The full size is $48, but if it performs those miracles it would be a worthy investment.
RUFFIAN Rapture Collection in Ambrosia – We had the option to choose our color this month. I picked this purple. RUFFIAN polishes go on great and I love this lilac color.
Also included was a polish remover towelette. It is supposed to be perfumed, but I haven’t opened it yet.
Benefit Cosmetics Posiebalm – What kind of a lip balm is this?! It smells like flowers! It’s a gorgeous sheer pink. Love it!
My Birchboxes lately have been kinda “meh.” This one hit it out of the park. I’m very happy! Not only was the box only $10, but I’ll get at least $5 of that back in Birchbox points. Then I can either take the free one-year Women’s Health subscription or get a refund for $9.99. I’m ahead of the game this month!
