Ok ladies let’s talk wardrobe and specifically winter work gear. Gwynnie Bee has so many gorgeous work clothes how do you narrow it down? We all have our go to uniform or favorite pieces in our closets. It’s always good to evaluate, make some edits and then decide where to make some additions. I personally think it’s important to build a classic foundation and add some fun elements of trendy items to keep your look fresh and current. It never hurts to make sure you’re collecting things that fall into the “keeper” category. What does that consist of you ask? Well, according to Glamour magazine , Real Simple and Pop Sugar it’s basics that you can mix and match with everything you own. This should leave you with versatile yet classic pieces that make you feel polished and put-together.

Gwynnie Bee has so beautifully styled up the perfect basic workwear pieces to help women (sizes 10-32) complete their looks.  Gwynnie Bee gives you the opportunity to choose what you want to try and have it sent to your door. The cool part here and unlike other subscription boxes is you can wear it and return it. It’s the perfect way to decide if you like something and if you do you have the option to keep anything you get from Gwynnie Bee. So brilliant and truthfully a no brainer especially if you like to have a rotating wardrobe. Keep in mind it might be worth it to invest in some basic pieces and then swap out the fun and trendy ones! Whatever you decide it makes your life easy and keeps your style on point!

Here are 5 of my favorite workwear pieces that they have in their collection:

  1. Textured Prism Print Dress

This dress is a textured ponte-knit sheath dress with boat neck and three-quarter sleeves, stretch-knit fabric, pull-on design, all over prism print with embossed texture, fully lined. Shoulder to hem length: 38” (from size L). It does have shoulder pads but I’m not gonna lie I like a little shoulder situation these days. If you don’t I’m sure there is a way to remove them but regardless this dress is everything. The print is gorgeous and flattering and the blue and black are super versatile.

The main thing I love about the shape and style of this dress is that you can style it so many ways it’s limitless. Try a collared shirt underneath, add a belt and knee-high boots, a blazer or leather bomber jacket, ankle booties and a statement necklace, a cardigan and cute flats, opaque tights and heels or wear it as is and add some pearls or turquoise! I could keep going just to many ways to wear this gem.

2. Asymmetrical Colorblock Pencil Skirt

It’s a scuba-knit pencil skirt with pull-on design, power-stretch blend, elastic stretch-waist, asymmetrical hem, concealed back zip, colorblock design with plaid print, unlined. Waist to hem length: 27¾” (from size 18). This pencil skirt is a super fun way to keep things fresh and interesting. Tip for those of you who like things less fitted, consider sizing up and see if it fits better. Sometimes sizing up is a great option when we don’t want things to be too tight.

The asymmetrical hemline and bold fabric make this skirt a great piece to add style to a simple outfit. This skirt would look amazing with a button up, a sweater or a simple cotton shirt. I love how this skirt transfers from day to night. It has just enough pop that keeping everything else simple is perfect because the skirt is the star.

3. Pintuck Sharkbite Top In Splattered Dots

This crepe blouse with button-down front and cuffed long sleeves has no stretch and pin tuck detailing. It has pockets at the hips a handkerchief hem and all over polka dot print. Shoulder to hem length: 35″ (from size 2X). A loose and flowy top is such a great option to save for those days when you are needing a stylish but comfortable blouse.

This lightweight shirt would be perfect with black pants, leggings or skinny jeans. To get a polished  look tuck it into a skirt with a cute belt! Adding a tailored jacket with some bootcut or ankle jeans would look amazing. A silky blouse with a simple pattern is always a good idea for versatility and keeping your things timeless. The pin tuck detail on the front gives it a beautiful texture and helps keep it from being looking basic.

4. Double Layer Scuba Blazer

Scuba-knit blazer with open-front design and long sleeves, power-stretch blend, pockets at hips, banded hem, fully lined. Shoulder to hem length: 28” (from size 20W). This fabric helps keep the wrinkles out and perfect for winter with a full lining and heavier type fabric will keep you warm with any chill in the air.

The cobalt color of this collarless blazer is gorgeous. The front doesn’t have a closure which can give it a more casual vibe over a cool vintage t-shirt. It’s the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe for work, casual night out or a bold pop to a relaxed look of a white tank and jeans. Blazers are a must have item to collect for an easy way to look put together.

5. Black and Emerald Shift Dress

Ponte-knit shift dress with boat neck and three-quarter sleeves, stretch-knit fabric, concealed back zip, colorblock design with chevron print, unlined. Shoulder to hem length: 37½” (from size 18W). Does it get any better than a chevron shift dress? So timeless and flattering on pretty much any body shape.

Great pop of color, perfect shape and would look great with delicate gold jewelry. Most subscribers say to size down which always a nice feeling. A statement necklace or bold earrings would give this dress a little pow and finish off the look. Also love the idea of maybe a denim jacket or peacoat. Opaque tights and boots or sheer with booties or heels. So much personality and makes work gear look good.
