Foodie Gift Ideas: Bespoke Post Slate

I love to eat and cook – not bake, but cook. When a good foodie gift set or subscription box rolls out, we are always interested. Bespoke Post released a box this month called Slate and I couldn’t wait for it to arrive.

We have ordered food-related boxes from Bespoke Post in the past and always been pleased. They usually contain some small-batch food items and a nice kitchen tool of some sort. This box was to items perfect for a “rugged-refined” holiday party.

Bespoke Post has had a few offerings lately where you could choose an item. In the Slate box we could choose between sopressata salami or spicy pickled green beans. We opted for the salami. Bespoke Post Slate Review

The box was also include:

Buffalo Trace Bourbon Brittle – This stuff was so yummy. It’s much thicker than your standard peanut butter brittle. It has a great not-too-sweet flavor.

Mustard and Co. Garlic Dill Mustard – This was perhaps my favorite item in the box. I am a huge mustard fan and this has a nice spicy flavor. I love it.

Old Town Oil 18-year Style Balsamic Vinegar – One of the main tipping points for ordering this box was the vinegar and oil. These are ingredients every kitchen needs and we go through frequently. Balsamic vinegar is one of my favorites for flavoring salads and meats.

Old Town Oil Extra Virgin Olive Oil – great for dipping

Creminelli’s Sopressata Salami – This was so yummy. Some salamis are too spicy but this had a subtle garlic and red wine flavor.

Daneson #22 Bourbon Toothpicks – Bourbon-soaked toothpicks? Who knew?

Brooklyn Slate Natural Slate Serving Board – This was the big ticket item in the box. It’s such a cool addition to the kitchen. It’s stone, so it’s perfect for serving meats and cheeses. This item alone is worth $33.

As a member, Bespoke Post boxes are just $45 (Code RESCUE may still get you 30% off your first shipment.) You can pick or skip from several box options every month. If you would like to give a gift this season, one-time shipments are $55.
