DIY Party’s Over Glitter Removal Pads

It’s no secret that I love my Julep Party’s Over Glitter Removal Kit. I wear glitter polish A LOT and it can be such a pain to remove. Then I found this awesome product from Julep that takes it off lickety-split. The refills can be expensive however, especially when you don’t need a full packet.

Party's Over Glitter Nail Polish Removal Kit

If you are not yet familiar with the Party’s Over Kit it comes with these cool little rubber tips and packets of polish remover pads. Each packet contains 10 pads each. Place one on each nail and cover with the rubber tips for five minutes. Your glitter polish will slide right off. No joke! But, I don’t always need 10 pads. I often only wear a glitter top coat on accent nails. I hate them going to waste. So, I set out to make my own.

I love my Party's Over Glitter Removal Kit, but refills can get expensive. Stop by for my DIY tips!

Nothing complicated here. You probably have these items already in your bathroom cabinet:

  • Party’s Over Kit (you still need those cool tips!)
  • Polish remover
  • Cotton squares
  • Scissors

I simply cut the squares into quarters. Soaked them in polish remover (not dripping, just moistened completely). Then applied them as I would the regular Party’s Over pads. Worked like magic. And for only pennies as compared to the $8 for refill pads ($10 for non-Mavens). And no waste! If I only need two pads, that’s all I need to make.

There’s your super simple Tuesday tip. Go forth and save money…
