Cypress & 5th Review: Women’s Clothing Subscription

Affiliate Disclosure

Did you finish reading the Cypress & 5th interview? Ready for the full review? Awesome! Let’s get to it.

Cypress & 5th is a women’s fashion apparel subscription. Unlike Stitch Fix where you don’t know what you are going to get or how much it is going to cost, this one is fully transparent. The monthly fee is set at $74.95. Period. For that price you get to choose one top, one bottom and one accessory, or one dress and one accessory. Items are still individually matched to your style preferences, but you maintain full control.

Cypress & 5th Profile

You will need to fill out a rather lengthy personal profile with your sizes, lifestyle and clothing preferences. You will have the opportunity to tell them whether you are looking for work attire, casual clothes are something for date night or a wedding (or all of the above). You can even include your Pinterest link for them to check out. You won’t pay at this point. Once your profile is complete you will need to wait for your Dressing Room to be filled which can take up to a week.

Once your Dressing Room is open you can pick and choose your outfit. That’s one thing I really love about this service. You walk away with a complete outfit for just $74.95. You typically receive around 4-6 tops, 2-3 pants, 1-2 shorts/skirts, 3-5 dresses and 5-8 accessories to choose from.

Cypress and 5thThe checkout process was a little confusing. You pay the monthly subscription charge, but then you go back to your Dressing Room and check out with your chosen outfit ($0). You can also choose additional items at this point.

Let’s Get to the Clothes!

The available sizes are 0/XS – 12/L. I chose small in my profile based on their sizing guide. In the Dressing Room items did include details like inseam, waist and materials. Much appreciated!

I chose a pair of grey jeggings, a grey draped top and a ring as my accessory. I’m a jeans & t-shirt kinda girl, so I was excited and pleased with the “girl clothes” collection I had to choose from. My items arrived by USPS.

I was very pleased with the clothing. The jeggings are a nice thick material – not “stretch pants” in the least. The top is longer in the back for those of us a little self-conscious of our backsides. I love the ring. It’s one-size fits all and definitely a statement piece.

The package also came with style cards for even more outfit ideas.

Cypress & 5th Personal Stylist Service

I’m very pleased with this service. While some people really enjoy the surprise factor at all times, I don’t necessarily with clothing. I don’t want the hassle of returning items (though you do have 3 days to exchange/return with Cypress & 5th) and I don’t want a bunch of clothes I would never wear despite having paid for them. This service picks items they think I may like and look good in, and I get final say on what I’m buying. Love that!

After your initial purchase, Dressing Rooms will then open on the 1st of the month. You will have 5 days to skip, but all month to shop. You will want to shop early as items do start selling out as the month comes to a close.

I’m keeping this one around for awhile. If you would like to join me, please hop over to the site to start filling out your style profile. Please tell them Angie Nelson sent you!
