Bourbon & Boots Box Review
I became aware of the subscription box from Bourbon & Boots a few months back. This is a website that focuses on Southern and Americana gifts. Many of the items featured on the site are from small business crafters and artisans. Bourbon & Boots also offers a seasonal box in 1, 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions.

July through September Bourbon & Boots boxes feature outdoor grilling items. My August box arrived today and included:
- Pig-Shaped 9-inch Cutting Board ($35)
- Bacon-Infused Sea Salt ($4)
- Baxter’s XXX Peach & Bourbon Smoking Chips ($8)
- Woody’s Bar-B-Q Sauce ($7)

The two items we were most excited about were the bacon-infused sea salt and sauce. We live in the Midwest so the sauces we get around here are more of the Kansas City variety (thick, tomato-based sauce). This sauce is a thinner vinegar sauce. It tastes really good. It is going to be great for pulled pork sandwiches.
I don’t usually grill with flavored smoking chips, but I am anxious to try. And these arrived just in time for Labor Day weekend.
The pig cutting board is cute though I don’t think it is large enough to be used on a regular basis. Perhaps for a little meat and cheese tray.
The total value of this box was $54. The Bourbon & Boots box is priced at $42 per month. You do get 5% off when you sign up for their email newsletter, so I paid a little under $40.
There are a few things about the website that I would like to see updated. There is very little, if any, information about when boxes ship and if this is a recurring subscription or a one-time purchase. Definitely things we need to know.
What do you think of the Bourbon & Boots Box? Will you be subscribing?
