Birchbox Fashionista Box Review
The past few months Birchbox has let subscribers choose between a few samples or a special edition box. Last round I was able to snag the special sub curated with Fashionista.com.
This box was created with a Fashion Week theme. It was to include trendy beauty products often born on the runway. I choose this box over the other samples because of two products.
Cynthia Rowley Beauty Silver Eyeliner – Yes. I already have this eyeliner, but i wear it constantly. I absolutely love it! It goes on smooth, has a ton of sparkle and it’s a real eye-opener.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner – I love Dr. Brandt products and this product had me intrigued. It’s a gel to eliminate blackheads. You apply it to trouble areas two or three times per week and rinse after 5-10 minutes. It turns blue as it dries and has a cooling sensation. Very cool.
The other products didn’t have me nearly as excited, but they are still great samples!
Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara – I won’t give up my Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes. I don’t even bother trying mascara samples anymore because I know they can’t compare.
Naobay Body Radiance Lotion – I have received lotions from this company several times this past year. They are natural and organic. This one includes olive oil, avocado oil and shea butter.
Macadamia Professional Flawless Cleansing Conditioner – This no-suds formula replaces your shampoo and conditioner. It’s also supposed to cut down on drying time. I’m intrigued by this mouse-looking can. But, I hate most sulfate-free shampoos. They leave my fine hair so greasy. I’m not sure whether I’ll try it yet or not.
This box was such a great value for just $10. It’s definitely a keeper. I can’ wait to find out if we get to choose more samples in October!
