2015 Beautylish Lucky Bag Review

A couple weeks back I let you know the annual Beautylish Lucky Bags were going on sale. These sell out within 12 hours, but I was able to snag one. There were three choices this year; Bold, Neutral and MUA. I chose the Bold bag.

These bags were $75 and were to include at least $150 in product. Here is the description of the Bold bag per the website:
The Bold Lucky Bag is for anyone who likes to add some color to their wardrobe and enjoys the occasional bold lip. A combination of makeup, skincare, plus a mystery tool adds to the excitement!
Inside I found the following.

Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner: $32 – This is a nice big bottle. The scent is really refreshing. It’s alcohol-free with antioxidants and is supposed to help correct sun damage, large pores and premature aging. This is a skin-balancing toner that reduces shine.
This one’s a winner.
bliss grapefruit + aloe body butter: $29 – This is the same formula used in Bliss Spas. I can’t tell you how much I love citrus. It just makes you happy and energized.
Winner!
Lit Kit Summer Sparkle in Afternoon Delight: $19.95 – This is the only item I’d really consider “bold” in this bag. This trio set includes loose glitter, liquid glitter base and a brush. At first I wasn’t so sure, but I think I’ll use it. I love high-color eyes.
Keeper.
Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duo 205: $42 – Rose Gold and Iced Plum are the two colors in this eyeshadow duo. It also came in a little plush pouch. Very pretty. I don’t know that I’d ever pay $42 for eyeshadow, but to each his own.
Keeper.
RCMA Makeup Highlight and Contouring Palette: $30 – I don’t HAC often, but when I do I look 10 pounds thinner. Instantly.
Maybe this will be the kick in the pants to do it more often. And $30 is a very reasonable price.
Okay.
Wayne Goss Brush No 17: $32 – I love these big, soft, flat brushes for blending a smoky eye. Perfect results. This one can also be used for HACing.
Winner.
Total bag value: $184.95. When I first opened the box I was a little disappointed. This is it? But, with the exception of the highlighting palette, I love everything. I’ll probably pick one up again next year.
Did you pick up one of these? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
