With handmade products and indie brands being so popular right now, I wanted to do a roundup of some of the smaller subscription boxes out there that feature handcrafted and small business products. Here are 13 indie subscription boxes currently available.
Umba Box offers subscribers 2-3 handmade jewelry, accessories, bath & body or stationery items for $25 per month. They also offer a higher-end Limited Edition 3-month subscription for $149.
Hammock Pack is a vacation in a box. For $25 per month you will receive 5 items that provide a getaway at home. Maybe it’s a movie night. Maybe it is a day at the beach. You’ll never know unless you order.
La Bella Box ships boutique items from small businesses across the U.S. One thing you have to love about these boxes is the variety. From chocolates to teas, face masks to candles. There is a little something for everyone. La Bella Box currently has their anniversary box for sale at $25.
Indie Gift Box is undergoing some changes. They will soon offer two boxes; standard ($20) and deluxe ($25). They do not require a subscription. In addition to the upcoming Makeover Mania box, you will also find a Surprise Box available right now.
Dottiebox is an indie box that I see reviewed frequently. They offer an awesome mix of products for only $20 ($6 shipping). You can purchase a subscription or individual box. They also often have leftover past boxes available in case you missed one.
Fair Ivy currently has two surprise box subscriptions available. The jewelry subscription includes one handmade jewelry piece per month for $25. The original subscription is a nice mix of three items for $40 per month.
Fair Treasure offers ethically sourced items from around the globe. In addition to jewelry, housewares and more, you will also get to learn about the artisan that crafted your treasures and their community. Fair Treasure is available for $30 per month.
My Dream Sample Box supports a little of every type of small business. They offer a direct sales box, handmade box and specialty box (combo). Each month is themed with upcoming themes available for 2013. Regular boxes are $30 per month.
Ophelia’s Apothecary is a box I introduced you to awhile back. This box combines handmade bath & body products with artisan items. You can pick up the subscription for $15 per month. You must follow them on Facebook! She is always offering specials on her bath & body stuff.
The Bride Box may qualify as a half-handmade box. In addition to indie items, they also include big brand samples. This one is obviously for brides and is available for $35 per month.
Sudsy Box is a great subscription from Heidi’s Artisan Soaps. Boxes ship every two months and run $20 per box.
Olio Luxe specializes in all natural skin care. They have a little of everything from salves to bath & body to fragrance. You can purchase one box for $22. A subscription is also available at the same price per month.
GlitterDaze has a new nail polish subscription. They offer several subscription options ranging from $15 to $32. In addition to being an indie brand, they also donate a portion of each sale to charity.
