Eco-Emi wants to introduce us all to living more “green.” This beauty product discovery program is on a mission to deliver to their customers five to ten natural, organic, vegan, Fair Trade or cruelty-free beauty and lifestyle products each month.
The cost of an Eco-Emi subscription is $15 per month (free shipping). One thing I like about this sample subscription is that they do cover several product categories. If you are looking to live a healthier and eco-friendly life I think this would be much appreciated. Not only will you discover beauty and skin care products, but also food, household cleaning items and more.
There are a few things to note with this program. For starters, PayPal is the only payment method available. This means you make your payment when you place your order even though you will not receive a box until the next month. Therefore, you are essentially paying for a month in advance rather than paying when your box ships. Not that this is a bad thing, just something you should be aware of.
There is also no option to indicate personal preferences with Eco-Emi. Products are selected with the majority in mind. They are not customized to the individual subscriber like some programs. Again, not necessarily a bad thing, your green-living friends and family are going to love you sharing those samples you do not want.
What Do Eco-Emi Reviews Say?
For the most part, the reviews are good. As has been noted in some of my other natural beauty box overviews, this particular niche program tends to lean more toward *samples* than the deluxe or full size items some have grown to expect. As natural and organic products tend to be a lot higher in value overall, the samples tend to be a bit smaller with these programs. If you are one of those with the mantra “She with the most beauty boxes wins,” you probably are not going to be too happy with some of the natural beauty box options out there.
This sounds like a great program all around. Though not always available, periodically throughout the year Eco-Emi sells their overstock boxes as instant purchases. That is a great chance to try out the program without commitment (and usually at a lower price). Those opportunities are typically found on their Random Extra Boxes page.
