This August Bestowed box was full of several healthy and delicious snacks to kick off getting back into healthy routines. There was a good variety of items and I had never tried anything that was in the box so I was excited to check everything out.
The Bean Stalks were my favorite and are made from beans (obviously). They were so good and since I love cannellini beans, pinto beans and peas I thought this snack was delicious. They remind me a lot of veggie straws but I might have to say these Bean Stalks were better. I do like that they have 3 g of protein and are only 100 cal a bag.
The Overnight Muesli was interesting. I put Almond milk in it the night before and let it soak into the oats etc. I had never tried anything like that before so the first few bites I wasn’t sure what to think but after a while I was definitely seeing the benefits of the cereal. It’s kind of like a mix between cereal and cold oatmeal so I think that’s what was making it a challenge. I would like to try some of the other flavors, they looked really good.
The Teeccino Dandelion Dark Roast non-caffeinated and non-acidic herbal coffee was kind of different. I love all the natural elements to the drink. Made of organic carob, organic chicory, organic dandelion, organic ramon seeds, and a dark roast flavor I was immediately interested to try it. It’s not bad actually but if you are a major coffee drinker (that would be moi) there is nothing that can replace coffee. End of story. However, if you are breaking your coffee habits this might be a good alternative! Good luck!
The Kids Organic Chews and Organic Slammers Superfood Snack are a healthier alternative than the fruit chews and sugar filled fruit pouches on the market. My kids loved the fruit chews and the fruit slammer so they are test approved in our house.
The EBOOST SPRUCE Energizing Whole Greens looks amazing and I can’t wait to try it. I’ll review it on Instagram this week. It has 3 servings of vegetables and natural caffeine and antioxidants from whole coffee cherries.
