Scent Trunk has been around for awhile. Previously they featured only men’s fragrances. They recently added women’s perfumes to their monthly shipment. They offered to send over a box for our review.
I don’t see the price mentioned readily on the site. It’s a bummer if this is “gated” information that you are only provided with after filling out a profile. This is definitely something that should be provided upfront.
If this is the price, it’s definitely not one you are signing up with to save money. This is a discovery program. You are paying for access to lesser known fragrances that you may love based on your profile.
How Does It Work?
You have to fill out an extensive quiz upon enrolling. This lets Scent Trunk choose fragrances based on when you wear perfume and to where, your personality and scent preferences. Please keep in mind I was not given this opportunity prior to receiving a box to review.
Scent Trunk ships on the 10th and 25th of the month. If you subscribe BEFORE the 5th of the month, you’ll get it shipped out on the 10th of the month. If you subscribe after the 6th, they’ll have to wait until the 25th.
Scent Trunk Review
You are sent three fragrance samples with each shipment. I received Parfums de Marly Safanad, Zoologist Perfumes Panda and Rancé 1795 Pauline.
I prefer delicate floral scents. I don’t like anything too overpowering, and I found these fragrances to be just that. They were far too strong for my preferences. As I said previously however, I did not have the opportunity to fill out the profile as normal subscribers would. I’m sure that may have impacted what I received.
If you do like a fragrance, you can purchase the full-size version on the Scent Trunk site.
