It’s Beauty Box 5’s third birthday this month. That almost always means a little something special for us subscribers.
Beauty Box 5 is a cheap sub at only $12 per month. As the name suggests, they send five beauty samples each month. One thing that differentiates BB5 from many is their inclusion of more drugstore brands than most. This month reflects that trend.
In the February 2015 box I found:
Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel – This product was shipped in various colors. I received Fall Mood which is a gold shimmer. Great polish but not really my color so I’ll pass this one along.
Avon Big Color Eye Pencil – I’m surprised we don’t see more Avon in beauty boxes. This full-size pencil normally runs $3.49. Again, it’s gold. That’s a bummer.
GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment – I know a lot of people love this mask, but it is way too irritating for me. Lots of little sticks and leaves in here. This is a luxury item. The full-size tub costs around $69. We received a foil packet.
Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in Vanilla Frosting – I love this color. It’s a pretty shimmery white. Definitely a keeper. It can double as a highlighter. The insert says this is full size.
Absolute New York Absolute Love Lip Balm – Assorted flavors were sent out. I received bubble gum.
In addition to the four full-size items and a sample this month was a $20 gift card to yourMinerals.
