My January Beauty Box 5 arrived today. As this is January, the features were to include items to keep you well-manicured and ready for new opportunities.
As the name suggests, Beauty Box 5 typically features five beauty items. The cost is just $12 per month. This subscription seems to be moving more towards the drugstore brands in recent months. This month’s features are a perfect example.
Garnier Fructis Daily Care Fortifying Shampoo – While I like this product just fine, I’m ready to move beyond Garnier Fructis for awhile. We have seen it over and over again the past year. New year, new products maybe?
Ultraflesh The Gold Standard Mascara in Blackout – This product seems fixed on “thick” lashes being their selling point. While I’m really tempted to try it, I have at least half a dozen mascara samples already that I haven’t even opened yet. I’ll pass this one along to someone who can get full enjoy from it.
Sally Hansen Salon Effects – I haven’t had much luck with nail polish strips in the past. My nails have a lot of curve which makes these really difficult to apply without creasing. I love the red and black stripes though! Maybe I’ll try them on the toes this spring.
Coastal Scents Eye Shadow – I love Coastal Scents eyeshadow! And I love these little quad samples. This one includes some great grays. Definitely a keeper.
Softsoap Nutri Serums Vitamin E Body Wash – I don’t think I have purchased body soap in a year, so you won’t hear me complaining about receiving another body wash sample. This one has little Vitamin E pearls to help you with winter dryness.
This is a bargain box at $12 per month. There is usually a nice mix of body, skin care, hair and cosmetic samples.
Did you get the January box? What did you think?
