My Community Box is a “buy local” subscription service shipping quarterly. Boxes may contain a little of everything from food to hand-crafted items to bath & body. The fall theme was “Taste Virginia.” Yummy!
When I first opened the box I saw a “May Contain Nuts” warning. I do not think I have ever seen this in a sub box before, and I really like it. We don’t have to worry about nut allergies, but I’m sure there are many subscription box customers out there that do. Great idea!
The box looks a little skimpy upon opening. But there’s food in here, and I’m hungry. 🙂
Inside the October My Community Box I found:
Kandy’s Cakes Strawberry Chips – Is there any better candy substitute than strawberry chips? I think not. I love them. They are my favorite dried fruit.
Rainy Day Kitchen Biscotti in Oatmeal Raisin and Half & Half Please – These are great for dipping and I love the unique flavors.
Virginia Favorites Gourmet Cajun Virginia Peanuts
Honey Sticks
Pumpkin Vanilla Bean Caramels – This is so stinkin’ good! Sady, I don’t know who makes them. I don’t see the company listed on the insert or anywhere else in the box. Same goes for the honey sticks.
Everything was delicious in here. And I love that they feature local sellers with Etsy stores. What many of you are not going to love however is that I come up with a retail value of around $15 – $20. That’s about half of the box cost ($30). The July box I received was more on target with the price so hopefully this was just an off collaboration.
I would love to hear your thoughts on My Community Box. Please leave me a comment below.
