The August Birchbox Man is titled “Summer Camp.” The items were supposed to be nostalgic “open-aired essentials.”
Sometimes I have to wonder what the items we receive have to do with the monthly theme. I think that’s probably because there are so many variations on the boxes that maybe the core featured products are on target and things get off track from there. Many of the main features this month were not items my husband received this month, but as he has gotten them in the past I can see their worthiness for a summer camp box. Anyway, let’s get back to the review…
Inside my husband’s Birchbox Man I found:
Billy Jealousy White Knight Daily Facial Cleanser – Billy Jealousy is a frequently featured brand at Birchbox. They have excellent face washes however, so we don’t mind.
Clinique for Men SPF 21 Moisturizer – I don’t recall ever seeing Clinique before. That’s new! (And something I wouldn’t mind seeing in the women’s box.) My husband never wears moisturizer however. This will get passed along.
Game Day Aftershave Soothing Balm – My husband loves Birchbox for the aftershaves. He has gotten some great ones. This one not only soothes but also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
English Laundry Pomade – My husband doesn’t use a lot of the hair products Birchbox sends. They are often waxes and heavy hold products. I think he’ll like this one however. I’m a little disappointed it’s not scented however. English Laundry is the manufacturer of a lot of the cologne samples he has received.
Bison Made Double Wrap Bracelet – Know who loves bracelets more than me? My husband. This is a great leather cord bracelet with a silver clasp.
This box has a retail value of around $60 this month. Birchbox Man continuously knocks it out of the park. Get it here.
