Hamptons Lane offers a monthly food subscription. Each month artisan food items arrive in a themed box. April’s theme was Southwestern Fiesta and included taco night items from Texas. The shipment took me a little by surprise, as the box was huge and very heavy. Inside I found two boxes and a flyer.
Inside the large, heavy box I found an authentic lava rock molcajete. This is a hand carved piece from Mexico. You can use it to make your guacamole and salsa or for grinding spices. This thing is a beast! And an awesome kitchen conversation piece. You need to cure it before use, but thorough instructions are included.
Next up is the blue box.
The April Hamptons Lane box included:
- Salt Traders Margarita Salt with Chipotle Chiles
- South Texas Spice Company Fajita Seasoning
- Melissa Guerra Custom-Crafted Taco Seasoning
- La Fogata Fresh-Roasted Salsa
- Norpro Lime Juicer
Nice, full-size samples of everything. We don’t drink, but I can think of a million other ways to use that smoky chipotle salt. The flyer was full of information about each product and had recipes to try.
Let me tell you, I love Mexican and Tex-Mex food. If there was any month for Hamptons Lane to send over a box for my review, it was this one. They won over my heart (and stomach) and my weekend menu was immediately modified. These seasonings will be gone in no time!
Hamptons Lane costs $45 per month. (No doubt this box far exceeded that!) You can skip or cancel at any time. Please use my referral link to receive $10 off your first box.
Disclosure: Hamptons Lane provided this box at no charge for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
