Wantable is one of the best subscription boxes on the market currently. As of right now they offer a Makeup Box, Accessories Box and Intimates Box. I’ve tried them all and they are always well worth the investment ($36 for monthly subscribers, $40 for a one-time box).
I recently had the opportunity to ask Lindsey from Wantable a few questions about their current success and what may be on the horizon.
Wantable is obviously one of my favorite subscription boxes and I follow the reviews pretty closely. I don’t believe I have ever seen two identical Wantable boxes. How do you guys do it?
We’re happy to hear that Wantable is one of your favorite boxes! We wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of our amazing customers. We’re working hard each and every day to give customers the best possible discovery experience!
We like to think there’s a little bit of magic floating around at Wantable HQ to make sure each box is unique, but it’s really the combination of brands and the ability to match our customers with those brands and products. Our team scours the fashion landscape to find the best products and brands to best fit each customer’s style. When the customer fills out her beauty profile, she gives us information on what kinds of products she’d love to discover. From there, we identify the best brands and products we feel she will really enjoy. In the end each customer is different and therefore her fashion needs are different so why shouldn’t each Wantable box be different?
How does Wantable choose the products and curators to be featured each month?
We search the market for the latest trends, emerging, and amazing brands. Our goal is always to find and feature brands that make incredible product that are so great that we just have to share them with you! Our team works with high-end boutique and emerging brands like (PLA Beauty) and Liberty Republic as well as big well-known brands such as Betsey Johnson and NCLA. We try to find brands that have an amazing product, great packaging, nice presentation, and a good story.
Our guest experts are fashion and beauty gurus who help us stay up-to-date and on-trend. They partner with us to guide us to the best trends, colors, etc. for a particular month.
The Intimates box has only been around for about six months. What made Wantable decide to bring on an intimate apparel option?
Our intimates box is our fastest growing box and has been a big hit with customers! We thought about who our target audience is and what they would like. Intimates have the amazing ability to make a woman feel confident, sexy, pretty, and comfortable – and sometimes all at the same time!
The subscription box scene is highly competitive. Even as one of the higher priced options, Wantable has had definite staying power and a very loyal following. What do you feel are your biggest assets in staying ahead?
Wantable is different from other subscription boxes for a variety of reasons (boxes are personalized, you receive full-sized products, returns are always free), but what sets us a part is that we are a relationship-based discovery experience. Yes, we want to stay on top of the latest trends and handpick wonderful items that give our customers a unique opportunity to discover new brands, but ultimately, we want to develop deep relationships with our customers and give them a different value proposition than other subscription boxes. We answer every email that comes our way and we always want to make sure that our customers are treated with kindness and respect. Our amazing customer service, along with our ability to give women a positive discovery experience, will hopefully help us to continue to over-deliver on customer’s expectations.
I’ve noticed a few exciting things over the past few months. What else can we expect from Wantable in the near future? Any spoilers?
I’m happy to report that Wantable will be launching at least one new category in the near future. We are finalizing the details now and will be excited to share the news once everything is complete. It’s certainly a great time to be a Wantable customer and supporter.
Thanks Wantable, for the interview. And YAY! for more Wantable on the way. What category would you like to see next? Tell me in the comments.
