FabFitFun is a women’s ezine that provides tips for becoming your best self. Their daily updates include wellness, beauty, style, health and fitness information. The site partners with reality star Guiliana Rancic and earlier this year they announced a new beauty discovery subscription called FabFitFun VIP (FFF VIP).
This is a higher-end beauty box subscription. The cost is $49.99 per season (free shipping ) and subscribers receive four boxes per year. Shipments include full-size products and deluxe samples of the “hottest seasonal items.” Randomly selected boxes also include bonus gifts. The estimated value of the VIP box is $100+.
I haven’t tried this one personally yet, and I have to admit to being a little hesitant to do so. The inaugural box did not go over so well. While the value was certainly there (most estimates were $130 – $150 in product), the majority of vocal subscribers strongly felt many of the items were dated. As the company claims to send out the hottest new arrivals, they were disappointed to see Jewelmint pieces that have been available for several seasons already and many of the cosmetic colors were not too “Spring-y.”
That being said, the company did appear to go above and beyond to make things right with subscribers. Many of those unhappy were offered free Summer boxes. Apologizes were sent out for any misunderstandings about the anticipated contents of boxes (many people didn’t know there would be variations). I can only assume (and hope) that the Summer boxes will be impressive.
Spring 2013 boxes were arriving in April, therefore I would anticipate the next shipment (Summer) should be going out in July. Visit the website to learn more about the FabFitFun VIP box and start your subscription.
